GCSE Results Day 2021
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 11,
Re: GCSE Examination Results
Firstly, on behalf of all the staff at Kingsford Community School, may I offer my heartfelt good wishes to you and your child at the end of their final year at Kingsford. It has been a great pleasure and privilege for my staff and I to have been entrusted with the education of your child and I am very proud of all that your child has achieved during their time at Kingsford. Please see below some important information and dates that you and your child will need.
- GCSE Examination Results Day: Thursday 12th August 2021
The examination results for this year’s GCSEs will be sent electronically to your child on Thursday 12th August 2021 at 8:30 a.m. via their school Gmail account. Your child will also be able to access the results via their EduLink account; they can sign into their account via the EduLink app or on an internet browser using their school login credentials (https://www.edulinkone.com). Once your child has logged into their account, they will be able to see their results by clicking on the ‘Exams’ tab.
Your child is encouraged to come into school between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on this date in order to celebrate and share this special moment of achievement with their peers and teachers. A careers advisor will also be at the school during this time to speak to any pupils who require advice after receiving their results.
- Post-16 Destinations
When your child collects their GCSE results, we will be asking them to provide the school with information about where they will be enrolling for their Post-16 education. The school is required to collect this 'Post-16 Destinations Information', about either the college, sixth form or apprenticeship provider where your child will enrol, as this is a statutory requirement. I would be grateful if you could complete the questionnaire that has been provided on the Google Form below at your earliest convenience and no later than Friday 20th August 2021.
Click here to access useful information regarding your child’s enrolment and applications to Post-16 Destinations.
You will receive another Google Form in September 2021, to confirm that your child is enrolled and attending a Post-16 provision.
- Return of school property
All school equipment and property still in your child’s possession must be returned to the school when your child comes in to collect their GCSE results. This is very important because all departments within the school need to maintain their stock of books and other equipment. Any text books, library books, technology equipment or otherwise should be brought into the school this Thursday 12th August 2021.
Should you have any queries or questions regarding the contents of this letter, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Sarkar, Assistant Head Teacher responsible for Post-16 destinations, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally, I would like to thank you as parents and carers for your partnership and the strong support you have provided to the school over the years and I wish you and your child all the very best for the future.
Joan Deslandes OBE
