Start and End of Term Arrangements
Dear Parent or Carer,
Re: End of Academic Year and the return to school in September 2023
As we approach the end of the academic year, there are a range of enrichment activities taking place to support the personal development of our pupils and to recognise their progress and achievement this year. Some of these events have been organised by the pupils themselves and we are proud to see what amazing activities and events your child will be participating in.
The last day of term will be Tuesday 18th July, and pupils will be dismissed from 12.15 p.m. onwards.
On behalf of everyone at Kingsford Community School, we would like to thank you for your partnership in working with us to support the personal and academic development of your child and all members of the school community. We wish you a safe and restful Summer break and look forward to sharing details of summer activity provisions your child may wish to participate in via our newsletter in the coming days.
Year 7 start on Tuesday 5th September 2023. They should arrive to school at 10:30 a.m. in full school uniform , and will be dismissed at 3.10 p.m. Pupils will have a specific programme to support their transition to school. All Year 7 pupils will then attend school every day from 8:20 am. from Wednesday 6th September 2023. As already shared in the transition booklet, your child should bring a packed lunch for the first week, as well as all the equipment listed.
Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 will start at school on Wednesday 6th September 2023. They should arrive to school at 8:20 a.m. in full school uniform and will be dismissed at 3.10 p.m. To support your child progression, it is vital they attend school and are on time for the start of the autumn term.
With best wishes and kind regards,
Ms Joan Deslandes OBE
