Dear Parents and Carers,

Re: Year 10 Parent Information Evening – Tuesday 3rd June 2025. 

I am writing to invite you to our Year 10 Parent Information Evening, which will take place on Tuesday 3rd June 2025, from 4.30 p.m – 6.00 p.m. This evening has been specifically arranged to provide key information regarding your child’s final year at Kingsford Community School and how we can work in partnership with you to ensure your child is fully prepared for their upcoming final GCSE exams and making the right choice for their Post 16 future pathway. At this evening you will receive your child's results from the recent Pre Public Examination. You will be presented too by members of school's senior leadership team, the pastoral leadership and core curriculum subject leaders. 

The evening will cover several important topics, including: 

• Outcomes from last year. We will look at the success stories from last year and showcase the pupils who performed well in their GCSE’s and have gone on to top sixth forms. 

• Kingsford’s Expectations regarding Attendance and Punctuality: We will discuss the school’s academic expectations for all Year 10 pupils as they approach this crucial period of their school career. 

• Key Dates: Important deadlines, exam dates, and key events throughout the school year. 

• Post-16 Provisions: Information on the options available to your child after Year 11, including how to make successful college and sixth-form applications, along with information about apprenticeships and career guidance. 

• Study Support Plans: Details of the support systems in place to help your child with their studies, including revision sessions, study materials, and access to additional academic assistance. 

• Mindfulness. We will share details how to support your child's wellbeing through a challenging year. 

This will be a highly informative session and a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. We strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend, as the information provided will be crucial in contributing to your child success in their studies next year.
