Our Summer Term Student Academic Counselling Day (SAC day) will take place between 8.30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday 7th July 2022. In line with the preferences of the large majority of parents, SAC day will take place virtually again this year. A small number of parents have been asked to attend the school for on-site meetings. 

The school has arranged for you to have a ten-minute conversation with your child’s Tutor via video call to discuss your child’s progress this academic year. You will also receive your child’s report electronically in advance of your call. The report will include information on your child’s attendance, attitude to learning and academic progress. Additionally, during the video call, targets will be set with you for the next academic year, to support your child to continue to maximise their progress and achievement at Kingsford.

For this day to be a success and to facilitate your child’s continued good and better academic performance, it is imperative that we have the support of all parents via parental attendance on the video call. Please note, that some Tutors may be able to make appointments up to 4.30 p.m. to accommodate a small number of parents. If you require alternative times please contact your child's form tutor.

The school will endeavour, as far as possible, to provide interpreters to enable every parent to participate effectively in the SAC Day. If you need an interpreter for the day, please put a note in your child’s planner by no later than Monday 4h July 2022.

There will be no lessons at the school site for students in Years 7-10 on Thursday 7th July 2022. Lessons will be delivered remotely on this day in order for all Tutors to speak with parents. Where possible, it is desirable that pupils are involved in the conversation between parents and tutors. After the discussion, please discuss with your child the proposed targets which have been agreed.

You will be able to book an appointment with your child’s tutor using our parent portal, EduLinkOne. To do this:

• Log into your EduLinkOne account
• Click the ‘Parents’ Evening’ icon
• Click on the event entitled ‘SAC Day’ and a list of available appointments for your child’s Tutor should appear.
• To book an appointment, simply click on the box next to the time and confirm by clicking ‘Book’.
• If you have more than one child at Kingsford, you will have to book appointments with each of their Tutors; you can switch between your children on EduLink by selecting their names in the top right-hand corner.
