All pupils learning remotely 21st December

You will be aware that cases of the Covid 19 variant Omicron, are rising sharply. As a school we have taken every possible measure to minimise risk for those on the schol site. However, we have several staff who are absent, due to testing positive for Covid, self-isolation or because they are ill. To manage this situation, the school will be closed to all pupils on Tuesday 21st December 2021, apart from the children of key workers and vulnerable children. Arrangements have been put in place for vulnerable children and the children of key workers to be onsite and they should arrive at school at the usual time.

Pupils must log into the VLE for registration with their tutors at 8.30 am, and then follow their timetabled lessons throughout the day.  All teachers will complete registers for each of their classes using Edulink at the start of each lesson.  All pupils will follow their usual timetable between lessons 1- 5, and will watch a pre-recorded year group assembly in period 6.

Pupils are familiar with the school’s remote learning arrangements. Please see the Hybrid and Remote Learning Guidance on the school website for further information. The information can be found here: https://sites.google.com/kingsfordschool.org.uk/kcs-remote-learning/home.
